When I started woodworking I remember being too concerned about what I didn’t yet know, and it held me back. I want you to feel confident as you start your woodworking journey.

By the end of this course you will know the difference between popular materials, various types of fasteners, common hand and power tools and many terms associated with woodworking and buildling.

What is the Woodworking 101 course?

Vocab

  • Common materials such as hardwood vs. softwood, MDF, etc.

  • This course is designed to teach the basics of starting woodworking and/or some home improvement. It will cover materials, some basic hand and power tools as well as prepare you for shopping at hardware stores.

  • No you do not! This course will include education on certain beginner level tools as well as recommendations for what you should purchase to get started.

  • We highly recommend this course to set you up for success! The next courses offered will get started on specific projects so having these basics mastered is very important.

  • This course is completely virtual, so you can do it from anywhere! This will be a collection of interactive videos, worksheets and PDFs that will guide you through the lessons.
